Seems to be windy every day at the mo. I can just pick and choose which days I want to go sailing, instead of the conditions dictating when I go. Nice. Did a bit of work in the morning, then thought "hmmm feel like a quick sail". Quick check....yep it's windy, again, of course.... Persuaded Andy and Fiona to come with me (but not Martin or anyone else unfortunately). That meant putting the roofrack on the car, so didn't get to Salterns until about 4.15pm. Had a good sail in nice and easy conditions. Was feeling a bit lacking in energy (hadn't eaten much all day) so wasn't really going for much. The usual stuff; a few nice duck gybes on the inside, including one very satisfying one right in front of Andy and Fiona, of which Fiona took a photo - hope it comes out well; some very clean gybes on the outside - really made a proper concious effort to look out of the turn all the way round the gybe from start to finish, which really helped; one or two fairly pathetic body drag attemtps; etc etc. Not particularly exciting conditions but another good performance means the session gets a solid 4 stars again. Forecast to be windy tomorrow....and the next day....and the next day.....and the next day...... Will it ever end? Hope not!!!! |
